fastboot
command does not work anymore, making it impossible to flash custom roms from OSX Mountain Lion. Here is an extract of what happens when trying to use the
fastboot
command from OSX Mountain Lion command shell :
droid $ fastboot erase cache

The workaround I've found so far is using the fastboot
command from previous versions of Mac OSX : Lion (10.7.x) or Snow Leopard (10.6.x).

Unplug all other USB-devices and try again. It works on my Macbook Air as long as there are no other USB-devices connected.
I had issues with ML and fastboot (all solved), but I think your problem is related to Debug Mode not activated on the phone.
Yes, unplugging all other things and unplugging and replugging in device fixes it.
I'am trying to use fastboot with Odroidx2 in u-boot/fastboot mode.
Even unplugging all other USB that doen't work for me :(
Still have the Error message.
I've updated my mac to latest OSX release, still no luck.
You said that you used oldest version of fastboot ? When can I find that ?
Thanks,
V.
Run fastboot as root, and it works :)
I also made sure to unplug my USB hub and USB mouse, start the device back up and then call into fastboot once more and try it again. This time it worked with it being my only USB device attached.
